I wondered if the story might tail off a bit but was extremely happy to find it hadn't at all. I loved the characters and the voodoo elements. The only thing I still can't get my head around is 'death' being named Dank - it just doesn't sit with me correctly still, even after book 2. I am overlooking the obvious pitfalls as in how the heck would 'death' perform his duties all over the world if he's present at every single one but hey some things need overlooking and just enjoy the story.
