The Art of Submission (The Art of D/s #1)

The Art of Submission (The Art of D/s #1) - Ella Dominguez Got to say it again OH. MY. GOD!! Why the heck am I only just reading this book now. I am sitting here still captured by their story and I literally can't wait to delve into book 2.

Quite simply this is a bloody brilliant story about Isabel and Dylan. She is a gentle soul who comes across as submissive and subservient, who is so kind and accomodating and helpful and doesn't want to upset anybody. That is until her inner Isabel is let loose and when it surfaces boy you'd better watch out! But when her inner self and strength materialises it isn't nasty it's just authorative and feisty and what happens in some of the scenarios is just downright brilliant! She is also though very fragile and has a very low opinion of herself and really can't understand what Dylan sees in her.

Dylan has abstained from the BDSM lifestyle since his last relationship turned sour, but he has a burning in him that really wants to let his Dom loose and when he sets eyes on Isa's paintings that's it, the match has been struck and he has to find out more about the artist and the amazing paintings and from that night on resistance is futile as he fights with himself to keep away from his sexual dominant tendancies.

Removed the bit of the POV's as it seems I've read the original book and not the one I purchased. WTF!! I can only imagine with the POV being written differently then this book will excel at delivering an excellent story. I will update this more when I've read the actual book I purchased.

I have to say I was hooked and needed to keep reading to find out what was going to happen, was he going to hurt her? Was she going to be traumatised from all this? Was it all about the paintings? Was he going to 'negotiate' the contract. God all this kept me totally hooked but I can't not review this without saying about the humour too, by god I looked a right twit sitting at the side of a swimming class waiting for my kids with this massive smile on my face whilst reading this and trying to not let my shoulders shake and laugh out loud at some of what Isabel does and gets up to. She is probably my most favourite submissive EVER!

I am so glad I got this book, it's a keeper and a definite re-read (loads of times) and it goes straight into my favourite pile. ♥
